UCO Discounted Application Fee Available Through April 1

Incoming freshmen still have time to apply to the University of Central Oklahoma with a discounted application fee. To assist with removing some financial barriers, Central has temporarily reduced the application fee from $50 to $5 through April 1.

“We know that this past year has been tough on students; therefore, we want to remove some of the financial barriers some students may feel when applying to college,” said Christopher Lynch, vice president for Enrollment and Student Success at Central.

“We want to offer this discount to show how much we truly care for those wanting to pursue a degree at Central.”

UCO now is accepting admissions applications for summer and fall 2021. Incoming freshmen who qualify academically will automatically be awarded academic scholarships with the submission of a completed online application and all admissions-related documents by April 1, while funding is available.

Incoming freshmen can automatically receive up to $2,000 per year for four years, depending on their high school GPA and ACT score. Incoming transfer students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and at least 24 credit hours will automatically receive $500 per year for two years.

In January, Central announced plans to hold classes in-person for the fall 2021 semester. A significant part of those plans includes continued adherence to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and encouraging all students, faculty and staff to get the COVID-19 vaccination when eligible.

To receive the discounted application fee, use the promo code “BRONCHOBOUND” when applying.
