A traffic stop on June 26 in Guthrie has Stephen Jennings in the Logan County Detention Center facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, transporting an open container of liquor, operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended, and failure to carry security verification form. Jennings also had a timber rattlesnake and some uranium in the car with him, but no charges were filed for those items.
Bond was set at $20,000 and a court appointed attorney was appointed to assist Jennings. Jennings is due back in court on July 25.
Racheal Rivera, 30, was also in the car and was charged with possession of a firearm, AFCF (after former convicton of a felony), after a Smith and Wesson .357 gun was recovered in the car. Rivera was convicted on June 19, 2019 of embezzlement and was given a suspended sentence of three years on that charge. The district attorney has filed to revoke that sentence and Rivera is due back in court July 25. Her bond is $20,000 and she is still being held in the Logan County Detention Center.
Rivera was also out on a suspended misdemeanor charge of eluding an officer and operating a motor vehicle while her driver’s license had been suspended that she pled guilty to on June 19.
