R.O.C.K. Week at GHS to benefit Special Jays playground upgrades

The Guthrie Student Council every year hosts their annual R.O.C.K. event at the high school and this year it runs April 17-29. The goal this year is to raise enough money to help renovate the playground for the Special Jays students. The playground is currently unusable.

During the 12 days of the fundraising there will be the kickball tournament and the powder puff game that the public can attend. The students will also have multiple events within the walls of the school including dress-up days and in the past there has always been a dodgeball tournament that is usually pretty successful especially if they get teachers teams to sign up.

The student council is looking for the communities help in raising the necessary funds to help supplement the school activities fundraising.

Donations from the community can be forwarded to the student council by contacting the student council advisor, Monte Meyers at monte. meyers@guthrieps.net.
