    The City of Guthrie Parks Department is putting some new mowers to good use this morning out at Highland Park and Summit View Cemetery. These two Scag 61” zero turn mowers were recently purchased with Hotel/Motel Tax* revenue, and are much needed additions to our Parks Department’s equipment resources.

    Thanks to the taxpayers who stay in our hotels and bed & breakfasts, the hotel/b&b folks who make Guthrie a wonderful place to visit, and thanks to the Guthrie City Council and City Manager Leroy Alsup for their leadership in helping keep Guthrie beautiful!

    *1/3 of the City of Guthrie Hotel/Motel Tax revenue goes to the Parks Department. The other 2/3 funds the City's Tourism Office.

    The current City of Guthrie Hotel/Motel Tax rate is 4%.
