OHP Identifies Logan County fatality victim on SH-74 Crash

A man from Stroud was killed earlier this week in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 74, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials.

The crash occurred nearly two miles south of Crescent, just north of State Highway 33 at 1:05 p.m. on Monday.

According to the report from the crash, a 2014 Buick LaCrosse driven by 71-year-old Ralph C. Krehbiel, of Enid, was traveling northbound on State Highway 74 when it crossed the center line, colliding with a 2016 Chevy Impala which was traveling southbound on State Highway 74. Both drivers were pinned for an unknown amount of time being freed by the Guthrie Fire Department.

The driver of the Impala, 32-year-old Kim L. Flatt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the LaCrosse was transported by Medical Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Crescent Fire Department and Guthrie Fire Department assisted Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The road was shut down, and motorists were rerouted near the scene.

The cause of the crash remains “under investigation.”
