The investigation into the death of Roshauna Deshae Ray last weekend continues as of press time on Friday.
The Logan County District Attorney’s Office did charge Clyde Marquette Fields with Unauthorized Removal of a Dead Body on Thursday. Fields appeared from the detention center on video in front of Judge Susan Worthington who set bail at $1 million and a January 23 court date.
“The investigation as to the homicide is not complete. It’s more complex and a number of legal issues are involved that require more investigation. The charges filed are those that the current investigation has already produced enough evidence that we believe they are provable beyond a reasonable doubt. I believe, if you haven’t already, you will see charges filed this morning for Assault and Battery on law enforcement in the jail after former conviction of five felonies. The removal of the dead body from the scene is also filed after former conviction of five felonies. Each of these charges would carry four years to life with that many prior convictions,” said Logan County District Attorney Laura Thomas.
Field was charged in Payne County for Violation of a Protection Order earlier in the week with a $20,000 bond on that charge.
The murder investigation continues by the Guthrie Police Department and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
