A Career Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Guthrie High School north gym to introduce students to the business and industry in the community.

Hoping to acqauint students with local job opportunities, coordinators seek local businesses with potential jobs for high school graduates to participate in the event.

“We’d love to have all of you represented with a booth,” C.C. Crane said. “The booths are free. You just set up your area to educate the students about where there is a possible career opportunity after college.”

There is no fee to particpate in the event. Coordinators also hope to inspire students to seek the education and training necessary for future employment while showing them opportunities to come back or stay in Guthrie.

“We’re also showing career paths, or educational ladders, to show them that if they want to come back and work here, there are viable jobs,” Tracy Zserdin, chamber president, said.

Register your business to participate in the free event by e-mail to ccordis@companionhealth.net.
