The Guthrie Police Department announced late Sunday night that Clyde Marquette Fields, 40, was arrested in Del City for the alleged homicide of Roshauna Deshae Ray, 40, on January 4.
There currently have been no formal charges filed against Fields and the Guthrie Police have not released any other details as to the alleged homicide took place or when Fields initial court appearance will be.
Ray was found Saturday night around 7:21 p.m. unconscious in the front of Mercy Hospital-Logan County, 200 S. Academy. Ray was found by police officers in the bushes by the front door. Ray had sustained multiple stab wounds, was rushed into the ER, but all attempts to revive her were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at 8:23 p.m.
The Guthrie Police Department along with the Stillwater Police Department, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma City Police Department investigated the homicide. The suspect was determined to be Fields and on Sunday evening was arrested in Del City by the Del City Police Department.
The case was investigated by the Guthrie Police Department, Stillwater Police Department, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma City Police Department, and the Del City Police Department.
Fields has a lengthy court record across Oklahoma, Canadian and Payne counties with several felony convictions. Fields has no prior criminal history in Logan County. Ray had filed a protective order against Fields in November 2019 and in a court hearing in December 2019 it was granted for three months until March 2020. Fields was in Payne County jail at the time of the hearing.
Fields and Ray have two minor children together that were the subject of a DHS hearing in 2016 for child support.
