Candidates interested in filing for municipal office in one Logan County municipality will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, December 5.
Sheleen Winscott, Secretary of the Logan County Election Board, said Declaration of Candidacy forms must be completed and submitted to the County Election Board no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 7 when the filing period ends. Winscott reminds voters that Contests of Candidacy must be filed no later than Friday, December 9 and may only be filed by another candidate for that office, unless a candidate files unopposed.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted for the following offices: City of Guthrie, Councilmember Ward 1, a 4 year term City of Guthrie, Councilmember Ward 2, a 4 year term City of Guthrie, Councilmember Ward 3, a 4 year term City of Guthrie, Mayor, a 2 year term Declaration of Candidacy forms can be downloaded from the State Election Board website at oklahoma. gov/elections or by contacting your County Election Board office at (405) 282-1900 or logancounty@elections.ok.gov.
The Logan County Election Board is located at 224 E. Vilas Ave., Guthrie, OK 73044 and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
