“All Gave Some and Some Gave All. Remember them this Memorial Day”

Veterans, their family members, and the general public are invited to join in remembrance of “those who gave the last full measure of dedication” to our nation. The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard from Tinker Air Force Base will present the Colors. Patriotic musical selections including the “The National Anthem” and “TAPS” will be performed by Oklahoma City-based Army Bugler John Griner.

This Memorial Day tribute will take place Monday, May 31, 2021 at 11:00am at the Wm Conrad Veterans Memorial Gardens, located at 313 E. Turner Street in Langston, OK 73050.

Community residents will salute America’s Fallen Heroes in poetry and patriotic songs. Three original poems will be recited or read in remembrance of those who died serving our nation. Additional published works will be read by community residents and Langston University Faculty members. Local Clergy will offer prayers for the departed heroes and their families.

For this Memorial Day Observance, the Master of Ceremony will be Mr. Eran Harrill of Oklahoma City. A # year member of the Oklahoma National Guard, (*RANK*) Harrill currently serves full time as one of four State Retention NCO for the Oklahoma Army National Guard. His combat deployments include Afghanistan, Germany, and Ukraine. He is a decorated member of the Oklahoma Military Honor Guard.

Eran is the creator and producer of Citizen Soldier, an immersive film of the Oklahoma National Guard’s 2011 deployment to Afghanistan, which was the largest deployment for the state since the Korean war. The critically acclaimed film has received multiple awards and honors.

In November 2020, Eran launched 3H Corps, a company that caters to veteran owned businesses and the greater military community, providing the number one online directory of veteran own businesses, events, museums, and military focused nonprofits. This achievement follows his five years of service as the President/CEO of the Oklahoma City Black Chamber of Commerce from 2015 - 2020.

A lite Lunch will be served free of charge to all Veterans and their spouses and for a donation by all other guests for the ongoing development of the Veterans Memorial Gardens.

Attendees should be prepared to observe Covid-19 precautions including wearing masks if they have not been vaccinated and observing social distancing during this event.
