1952-2024

Dennis Lynn Feken went to be with the Lord on April 25th 2024. He was born on September 18, 1952 to Cecil Dean Feken and Doris Mae (Hempfling) Feken of Perry Oklahoma.

His family attended St. Joseph Catholic church where he was an altar boy. He attended St Joseph Catholic school from kindergarten through the 6th grade. After that, he attended Perry public school through his graduation in 1971.

In 1973 he married Janan Karcher. They had 2 children, Denise and Joshua. Dennis built the family a log cabin near Perry Oklahoma.

In 2007, Dennis was re- married to Trina Johnson. Trina has one daughter Sarah Johnson who was 16 when they married. They made their home 6 miles east of Mulhall, Ok.

Dennis started going to work with his dad at a very young age. He would leave and go hunting while his dad worked. He started working in the oilfield at the age of 13. After that he worked for Ditch Witch for a short time after he graduated. He worked at Dresser Atlas from 1975 to 1985. He also worked for Harris Minerals from 1985 to 1996 as a pumper.

He served as a reserve officer under Jerry Cook from 1991 to 1996 for Noble County sheriff ’s Dept.

He also worked in Guthrie for Territorial Arms, making re-production Hepburn rifles. Shortly after that he started his own enterprise as a gunsmith, making his own rifles, of which he won 2nd in nationals at New Mexico. Dennis also built a civil war cannon which he liked to entertain with especially on 4th of July celebrations with family and friends. He worked for a while at Camo Corner on Highway 51.

Dennis was in the gun game for many years, gaining notoriety for his work. He was a talented and experienced gunsmith. Anytime someone couldn’t figure out how to fix their fire-arms they would bring them to Dennis and he would know just what to do, and would do an excellent job on it too, as he was a perfectionist.

Among his interests was deer hunting, and drag racing, but his greatest passion was being a gunsmith. He pursued his go-cart interests over the years at places like Sand springs, Oklahoma. He later enjoyed sharing the go-carts with his kids and grand kids on the farm east of Mulhall where he made a go-cart track down in the field.

He was a good son, brother, a loving husband, father, and a doting Papaw (Grandpa). In his later years, his grandsons were his greatest joy in life. He was a blessing to the family for all the good things he did for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Dean Feken, his mother Doris Feken, and granddaughter Halle Lynette Clayton.

He is survived by his wife Trina of Mulhall, Daughter Denise Clayton and husband Kelly, Josh Feken and his wife Melissa of Perry, Step-daughter Sarah Gile and her husband Darrell of Mulhall, Oklahoma, Grandsons, Trenton Clayton, Colt Feken, Liam Johnson, Isaac Lynn Hamilton Gile, Bentley, and Blaine Gile. A brother Dean Feken and wife Zonna of Perry, sisters Sara Feken and Amy Cole of Jenks Okla.

Celebration of life will be held on May 18th at 10 o’clock at Vassar Church. 19818 W. 56th ST. Mulhall, Ok. I-35 and Mulhall exit 170.
