1929-2025
Jimmie “Jim” Keith Patterson, 95, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 in Guthrie. He was born September 16, 1929 in Blaire, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Nevada (Lochnane) Patterson.
Jim graduated from Altus High School in 1947. He married Wanda Irene Nock on December 26,1947 in Altus, Oklahoma. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and frequently moved all over Oklahoma and Kansas. Jim joined the Army in 1952 and was discharged in 1961.
He graduated from Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma and went to work for the Internal Revenue Service. After working for the Internal Revenue Service, Jim began his career in banking with the First National Bank in Guthrie. He then moved to Pawnee, Oklahoma and built banks all over the State before retiring from Oklahoma State Bank in 1997. Once retired, Jim and Wanda continued traveling all over the world and ranching for the rest of his life.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; son, Perry; daughter, Jamie; two brothers; one sister; and his grandson, Bill Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda of Guthrie; his daughter- in-law, Ann Patterson of Guthrie; granddaughters, Stephanie Orner and husband, Jonathan of Orlando, Oklahoma, Sarah Pressgrove of Woodward, Oklahoma, Shanna Harman and husband, Brad of Orlando, and Ashley Stark and hus band, Ryan of Guthrie. Jim is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Summit View Cemetery with Pastor Hersey Hammons officiating and Jonathan Orner speaking. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
There will not be any visitation.
