Guthrie Public Library will be closed on Thursday, November 11th to observe Veterans Day and reopen on Friday, November 12th at 9AM.

Story Time, Wednesdays, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th 10:30AM – 11AM: Join us for a story, songs, dancing, and grab and crafts. For notifications, reminders, and cancelations text @guthriep to 81010, this will add you to our Remind 101 contact list.

Dinosaur Theater, Wednesdays, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th 4—5:50 PM: Featuring family friendly dinosaur themed movies and refreshments.

Learning to Loom: Hat Making for SWAK, Thursdays, November 4th & 18th 3:30 – 5PM: Learn a new skill while helping kids in our community. Every Halloween SWAK passes our hats during the trick or treat walk, let’s help them make some!
 
Teen Events
Teen Library Council- Saturday, November 6th 11am-12pm: TLC is a group of teenage volunteers.  Our purpose is to create teen library events that appeal to Guthrie teenagers.  If you are interested in joining, please register to be a member of TLC at the Guthrie Public Library’s Circulation Desk.

Teen D&D- Tuesday, November 2nd & 16th from 6-8pm: Closed Enrollment, will start a new campaign cycle in January.

Teen Fan Fiction Book Club- Monday, November 8th from 5-6pm: Stories submitted in October will be discussed. This is the submission to be discussed: bit.ly/3vf6BLe and bit.ly/2YQ1FRq

Anime Club- Thursday, November 18th from 6-8pm:  We will choose one anime movie to watch and partake in light snacks.

Teen 90s Party- Tuesday, November 30th from 6-7:30pm: We will have 90’s Pop Culture trivia game, GameCube
Tournament, plus a costume contest (bring on the 90s vibe!).
 
Adult Events
Meridian Tech Job Searching/Applying for Jobs Online– Monday November 1st from 4-6pm: In this 2-hour session, you will learn tips and tricks designed to maximize your ability to search and apply for jobs online.  You will learn how to sort and filter job postings as well as navigate complicated job application processes. Zumba– Fridays, November 5th, 12th, & 19th from 5-6pm: Dress to sweat! Free Latin inspired dance fitness class. Space is limited.

Historical Documents Class– Wednesday, November 17th from 5-6pm: In this class, we encourage engagement with historical

First Capital Book Club/LATI- Monday, November 22ndfrom 6-8pm: The last book in the series “Living with Limits” is The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. Pick up a copy at the front desk.
