City Sales, Use tax revenue up slightly.

The City of Guthrie’s Sales tax revenue is up slightly after receiving its February Sales and Use tax reports from December business sales.

City Manager Eddie Faulkner said the City received $718,140.28 in sales tax this month from the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

This amount is 1% higher or $7,021 more as compared to the same month last year of $711,119.

“We are 3% higher accumulatively as compared to 2024 or $112,338 more,” Faulkner wrote in his City Council report.

He said Year-To-Date (YTD) collections are $3,713,491 which is 3.6% more than YTD projection of $3,583,333 (or $130,158 more than projected).

Faulkner said the City received $138,900.50 in Use Tax this month.

This amount is 8% higher or $10,121 more as compared to the same month last year at $128,780.

“We are -6% lower accumulatively as compared to 2024 or ($36,241) less,” he wrote. “YTD collection is $525,708 which is 3% more than YTD projection of $509,106 (or $16,602 more than projection).”
