According to Guthrie fire Chief Eric Harlow, the fire started in the back add-on addition to the house. There were signs of drug paraphernalia in the house and it had been reported that squatters had recently been seen coming and going from the house. It took eight firefighters approximately three hours to deal with the fire and smoke. There was also some damage to the exterior of a neighboring house, but no one was home at the time and there were no reported injuries.  Harlow said, “The cause of the fire is undetermined.”
