Ginger Elaine Patterson

Ginger was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on February 20, 1940, to Lucille and Percy Wasson. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on March 31, 2017. She was 77 years old.

Ginger lived in Ponca City a little over two years, when they moved to Ft. Worth Texas. Two years later, they moved to the San Francisco California area. They lived in various locations there until moving to the Wichita area in 1951.

She married her high school sweetheart Tommy Joe Patterson, July 4, 1957, her junior year, and finished her senior year after marriage, graduating from the Derby High School, in 1958.

Ginger's hobbies have been sewing, cooking, Home Extension club activities, "mercy work", going to flea markets and antiquing. She enjoyed traveling to visit God's creations, and visiting with relatives and friends. She was known all around the world for her amazing pies and cobblers that everyone said were the best they have ever tasted.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Leaving behind her beloved husband, Tommy Joe, of almost 60 year, her four children, Tommy Jay, Jeanne, Clint and Randa, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, several nieces and nephews across the United States.

Memorial will be April 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Community church, Guthrie, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations to may be made to the American Cancer Society.
