The FFA and 4-H Pork Chop feeds across Logan County are coming to an end. There are two more chances to take in these dinners for the support of the local FFA programs.
The first one will be Saturday night out at Coyle High School in the old gymnasium and school cafeteria. The Guthrie High School Pork Chop Feed is scheduled for next Friday, Feb. 7 at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
The dinner service Saturday night starts at 5 p.m. There will be a silent and a live auction to help support the FFA process. The dinner and auction raises money for plaque sponsorships for the various exhibitors. The items up for auction include projects the students have been working on, gift certificates and products from local businesses.
The dinner fed approximately 900 hungry Logan County residents last year and is looking to get up over 1,000 dinners served this year. Bailey Platt, Coyle’s Agriculture Teacher and FFA advisor said, “Coyle is home of the “Original Pork Chop Feed” and we invite everyone to come and see us Saturday night.” For more information on how to help Coyle’s FFA program, Platt can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or at the school at 466-2750 ext. 330.
