Guthrie High School Football Head Coach Kelly Beeby has announced the Bluejays 16th annual youth football camp will take place on May 2 and 3. If weather interrupts either day, the camp will make the day up on May 4.
The two-day camp will help provide young athletes the opportunity to develop fundamental skills in a supervised, intense, organized and enthusiastic atmosphere.
"We are excited about the 2017 season ahead," Beeby said. "This will be our 16th annual Jr. Jays Camp. As we have done the past few years, we will have the camp while school is still in session. My staff and I look forward to working with the fine young athletes of Guthrie. We hope to see everyone at camp in May."
Overlooking the camp, along with Beeby, will be Scott Mick, Chad Sanders, Ric Meshew, Eric Woodard, Jason Rice, Tyler Young, Michael Harmon, Casey Porter, Seth Morgan, Terry Bennett Jr., Matt Perring, Hayden Seifert and Justin Stevens.
The camp is open to current second grade to seventh grade students.
Each camper who registers for Jr. Jays will receive drinks and camp T-shirt. The deadline to sign up for the camp has been set for April 21. Athletes can still attend the camp and pay the day of. A second T-shirt order will be made for those athletes.
The camp costs $25 which includes the registration, insurance and T-shirt.

Check-in time for the camp will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. The camp will run from 4 to 5:45 p.m.
